How it works.

The marketplace wasn't built for independents. It rates you alone, as a party of one. We pool thousands of self-employed members together so you get priced like a team of a thousand. Same networks, group rates.

Common questions.

If you're a 1099 contractor, freelancer, gig worker, or self-employed business owner, you qualify. W-2 employees without employer-sponsored coverage can qualify too. The suitability check takes about 3 minutes and confirms you meet the Working Owner requirements. No email blasts, no sales call.
Yes. As a member of the Working Owners group, your job is to fill out a short health survey once a month. It takes about 2 minutes and you get $10 back in your pocket. That small amount of participation is what makes this a real group plan instead of an individual policy.
The marketplace rates you on your own as a party of one. COBRA keeps your old employer plan but at the full premium plus an admin fee. Private individual PPOs sit between the two. Working Owners get priced like members of a large employer group, so most people save 25% to 45% vs the ACA marketplace and even more vs COBRA.
Five major medical plans and one limited medical plan: BCBS (PPO / HSA), Aetna EPO, Aetna PPO, PSM of TN Reference-Based Pricing, PSN of TN PPO, and MaxGuard Limited Medical. Click any plan card above to see the full comparison document. Deductibles range from $500 to $7,350.
40 states are live right now. The 11 not yet live: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin. If you move to a live state, you can enroll then.
Coverage is always effective the 1st of the following month. Run the suitability check, pick your plan, then you're in. Enrollment cutoffs are the 18th for BCBS of Nebraska and the 23rd for all other plans. Premiums auto-draft on the 20th of each month.
